Stroboscopes are used for visual inspection of rotating parts while driving. Point the stroboscope at the inspected rotating object and set the same flashing rate as the actual speed of the object. The object stops visually. This way you can find loose bolts on couplings, fragments on fan blades and so on.

Stroboscope can be used as a trigger for your measurement instead of laser speed probe.
Useful for example during balancing if you are unable to place the reflective tape on the axle due to greasy surroundings or other reason.

The A4950 can also be used with a speed probe. Simply connect the laser speed probe pointing at the reflective tape and read the speed directly on the A4950
