VTS2022 Tilt position sensor

About the product

Vibration-tolerant tilt sensor with two axes. Compact and robust design and offers an optimal combination of performance, safety and cost in dynamic applications. This makes it ideal for tilt and roll detection for industrial applications, typically cranes and lifting platforms

Like the single-channel version, the VTS2022 uses IMU technology and fast-acting software algorithms to filter out disturbances caused by vibration and motion to provide output stability without the measurement delays typically associated with heavily damped, traditional sensing methods.
Each measuring axis on the VTS2022 has two sensor elements that are continuously compared to ensure correct operation. If a fault is detected, the condition is communicated to the host electronics to ensure a safe operating situation is assumed. In addition, each output signal is calibrated to account for thermal drift, ensuring accuracy over the operating temperature range.

  • Powered by a 6–48 V DC power supply, for use on 12 V and 24 V DC systems
  • SAE J1939 CANbus output with selection of baud and frame rates
  • Outputs thermally compensated over the operating range -40 °C to +85 °C
  • IP67 rating (with paired connector) provides protection against outdoor environments
  • Integrated, 4-pin Deutsch DT04-compatible connector for quick and easy installation
  • >385 years MTTFd

Typical applications

  • Icon Off Highway Automotive
  • Icon Condition monitoring
  • Icon Crane & lifting
